Healing Vibrations: A Restorative Yoga class and Gong Bath
Saturday, February 11 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
For the first hour, Elyse will guide you through gentle and accessible Restorative Yoga poses while Kenny Kolter plays the gong. Tibetan singing bowls will be placed on your body during the practice so that you can feel the sound vibrations. For the second hour, you will be guided into an extended savasana (resting pose) with a gong bath. There will be a reception immediately following with refreshments provided where you can mingle and take a closer look at Kenny's singing bowls.
Gong meditations, a type of Sound Therapy, have been around for thousands of years as a way of healing. It is said that this particular therapy aids in stress reduction and breaking up emotional blockages within each person that practices this technique.
